Wildlife Conservation

-  Part of our mission is to contribute to the regeneration of ecosystems.
Therefore, we reforest, we monitor species with camera traps, identifying
pests and research on native species.
We have located certain areas that contain great biodiversity, therefore we have an agreement to visit them 8 times a month maximum.
- Our visions are:
Conserve natural areas with balanced ecosystems, together with indigenous communities.

That ecotourism remains a sustainable economic alternative.

The routes we use for short walks or expeditions determine the location of the polygons we establish for wildlife monitoring.

In these polygons we try to collect as much information as possible from the general characterization, including biotic, abiotic and anthropic factors.

With this said, we delve into the monitoring work (of flora and fauna) to be able to contrast with official documentation and observe any anomaly  or changes in ecosystems. Likewise, these monitoring serve to contribute to the biodiversity richness indices.

Anthropic activities within the polygons also have an impact that can be seen reflected through various types of pollution or phenomena such as erosion.  To lessen the negative impact of certain anthropic activities, we try to collaborate with local authorities and non-governmental organizations.

Since the objective is simply to identify and monitor species, many times during a walk we are describing and documenting the observations with digital cameras. We also use camera traps for species that are often difficult to see with the naked eye because they are nocturnal or very shy.

We often resort to asking about changes, anomalies or sightings of flora and fauna (especially rare species) in the communities near the polygons.

To facilitate documentation we use various tools, such as digital guides, state studies, etc. (check sources).

Our short-term goals are primarily based on forming a comprehensive collaboration with indigenous and non-indigenous communities. Such collaboration has as its starting point the interest in carrying out ecotourism activities and / or interest in caring for the environment. Likewise, the integration of monitoring in ecotourism activities.

In the medium term we have as a goal  Protect 2 industrial estates with the San Ignacio ejido so that continuity can be given together with responsible ecotourism, for this it is necessary to find regulations and standardizations that are well adapted by local communities.

In the long term, we hope to have established a framework in which tourism can be a source of regeneration for the environment and local communities.
