We are an ecotourism company that seeks to have a positive impact on the environment and local communities.

Expediciones del Norte began with the intention of creating a much more authentic option for tourists, offering enriching experiences led by local guides who share the history, unique biodiversity, and cultural richness of the Copper Canyon and its surrounding areas.

The story

Andrés and I grew up in Copper Canyon, hiking since we were children. One day, we decided to share those trails and the incredible views with people from other places. Thus, the idea of creating a project that could self-fund conservation initiatives alongside local communities, while also promoting responsible tourism.

Today, Andrés is a biologist and I am an environmental scientist. Together, we work constantly to put our knowledge into practice and achieve ecotourism that truly contributes to ecosystem conservation and community well-being.

Our goal is for every visitor to take away more than just photos: to learn about the Rarámuri culture, to listen to the silence of the landscapes, and to genuinely connect with this land and its people.
